Imloth

This is a private website, largely devoted to images from and essays on happenings in a particular private garden. Flower gallery entries (with the exception of seedlings) are open for anyone to enjoy; if you "borrow" an image for use, please give it proper attribution. (All images are by M. J. Lang.)

Blog entries (most are not visible from this page) are meant for friends and family only, and access is given with the understanding that any and all essays are my candid observations and opinions (and sometimes rants), which are not politically correct and may therefore be offensive to some. Here is a link to selected excerpts from this year's blog entries, but consider yourself warned:

Imloth, from J.R.R. Tolkien's invented Sindarin Elvish language, means "flower-valley". I felt it an appropriate name as we do live in a valley (in more respects than one), and this website pertains to flowers.

The current title images are of the Tall Bearded, Space Age iris 'Glacier Point' and Hemerocallis (daylily) 'Sears Tower'.

The background tile image was based on a image of a polymerous bloom of the diploid Hemerocallis (daylily) 'Give Me Eight'.
