This iris first bloomed for me in 2017.

My reasons for purchasing it were:

1) the name ("Glacier Point" is a viewpoint in Yosemite National Park that we have visited many times, and I thought the iris might make a fitting momento),

2) the colors (I favor whites, pale blues, lavenders, and purples for irises, all colors which are problematic in the daylily world)

and 3) it is a Space Age iris, and at the time of purchase, I had just discovered that such things exist and I wanted to explore them.

I have to say that I am very glad that I bought this iris; it is beautiful.

('Glacier Point' is currently in a pot; I am torn as to where in the garden to plant it out. The South Ginkgo bed, with Osteospermum '4D Silver'? Or near the red Japanese maple north of the Moon Garden?)
