This iris, a hybrid of Iris japonica, was purchased from Greenwood Garden in 2016, and was placed in the difficult, high shade pocket area at the east end of the side yard. Two plants were purchased and planted near each other.

Both plants bloomed in 2017, and the small but delicate blooms, several on wiry stalks, nicely light up that area. The plants were in bloom from February 16th through April 26th.

This plant was such a "win" in its shady location, that two japonica irises were ordered from Plant Delights Nursery in 2017.
