Beard white with 1-1 1/2" lavender horns with big flounces

This iris first bloomed for me in 2017.

My reasons for purchasing it were:

1) The color; at that time I was specifically in search of white irises for the Moon Garden,

and 2) it is a Space Age iris, with especially large extensions (flounces?) which I thought made the iris look really fancy.

I only got to enjoy one flower this season because somehow the stalk broke (literally within minutes of taking the above image).

My impression of this iris - at least for the flower - is YOWZA! and I am left wondering why it was never registered. Perhaps it has something to do with the bud count or branching?

In any event, if you want your iris bloom to have something a little "extra", check this one out.

(Location: This is currently in a pot; it may or may not stay there, or else get shoehorned into the Moon Garden.)
